Originally defined by Dr. Myers in a post deconstructing arguments by creationist Bryan Fischer in April 2008, Myers' Law states:
Every creationist argument will be built on false premises that expose the arguers ignorance.
The purpose of Myers' Law is to satirically highlight the misuse and misunderstanding of scientific principles (in the original case, the laws of thermodynamics) by creationists. Dr. Myers further explains that "anyone can declare a statement to be a law, and calling something a law is no promise of validity."
